What We Do

Musculoskeletal problems

By assessing the joint, muscle or region of the spine that is painful or giving trouble, we can effectively diagnose and treat the problem and teach exercises that will help prevent the problem from reoccurring.

Sports Injuries

We have extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of sports injuries and have worked with athletes within various sports. We are able to assess your specific injury as well as your overall posture and muscle balance. This is essential in the prevention of further injury and to optimise your performance as an athlete.

Dry needling

Dry needling involves placing a needle in myofascial trigger points - a ‘’knot’’ or tight band in the muscle. It is the westernized version of acupuncture and its effectiveness is explained from medical research. For example it causes the release of serotonin (one’s “happy hormone”) which then reduces the pain.

Chest physiotherapy

Chest infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis can be treated to help loosen the phlegm so that it can be expirated and therefore aid in the healing process.

Sports Massage

Deep tissue therapeutic / sports massages are available to target areas that have become tight due to excessive use / weakness / stress to help to give your relief from the tension and reduce your chance of injury.

Sinusitis

Treatment is aimed at helping the sinuses drain and includes joint mobilization, ultrasound and dry needling.

Geriatrics

We have a lot of experience dealing with geriatrics and enjoy working with them.

Home Visits

For those who are unable to drive to get to us, a home visit can be arranged.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

After surgery such as joint replacements, athroscopies and spinal surgeries, exercises and rehabilitation help to return one to one’s daily activities sooner.
