Physiotherapist

I graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. I then went on to locum at practices at Constantiaberg and Kingsbury Hospitals before starting to work full time at a private practice in Tokai, while still spending weekends working at the hospitals.

My hospital work gave me a good grounding in post-operative rehabilitation, mobilisation and chest physiotherapy and the private practice allowed me to gain experience with spinal and joint injuries, sports injuries, sinusitis and headaches. I took this experience and opened my own physiotherapy practice in December 2004.

In 2008 I completed a 1 year course in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (now known as the Advanced Neuromuscular Skeletal course) to further develop my practical skills and clinical reasoning.

After 20 years of working in the Tokai area, I had the opportunity to move to a Health and fitness studio in Constantia (close to Constantia Village) where I shared premises with a Chiropractor, Pilates instructors, Strength and Conditioning coaches and Personal Trainers. 2 years later these premises were sold, and I moved back to Tokai, to share premises with a General Practitioner and Chiropractor.

My aim is to provide a professional, caring environment in which I facilitate your body to heal optimally and strive to assist and guide you to return to your life stronger and without pain. For those who are unable to travel to my practice, I do offer home visits in the surrounding areas. I have a particular have an interest in the elderly and caring for them in the nearby retirement villages.

I love sports and have participated in a wide variety of them. I've been known to enjoy a bit of adrenalin on occasion, but also enjoy getting the chance to relax with friends, or a good book or series, preferably with a glass of wine in hand.
